The first episode of the TV Asahi drama "Reunion ~Silent Truth~" (Tuesdays at 9 p.m.) aired on January 13th, and the "tap dancing" of Rikako Minami, a detective in the Kanagawa Prefectural Police Department's First Investigative Division, played by Noriko Eguchi, became a hot topic.
The drama is a film adaptation of Yokoseki Dai's novel "Reunion" (Kodansha), which won the 56th Edogawa Rampo Prize in 2010, starring Takeuchi Ryoma. This human love mystery begins with a fateful reunion 23 years later between four classmates who share a secret: they buried a gun used in a crime under a cherry tree at their elementary school.
In the first episode, a supermarket manager is murdered in the jurisdiction of Junichi Hina (played by Takeuchi), who has just become a detective. Junichi teams up with Rikako to investigate the case, and reunites with his former classmates who have become suspects.
Meanwhile, Junichi looks delighted when he reunites with his classmate Makiko Iwamoto (Mao Inoue), whom he once had a secret crush on. Rikako, who has been quietly watching from afar, suddenly begins tap dancing without changing her expression.
On social media, viewers commented one after another, saying things like, "I'm watching Noriko Eguchi Noriko Eguchi and she's tapping away," "Noriko Eguchi Noriko Eguchi tapping? It's scary lol," "I was captivated by Noriko Eguchi heart and body are dancing at the reunion lol. Don't tap dance lol," and "Noriko Eguchi is the best."
