The second episode of the drama series "Okome no Onna - National Tax Agency Document Investigation Division, Miscellaneous Affairs Room" (TV Asahi, Thursdays 9pm), starring Nanako Matsushima, will be broadcast on January 15th.
Masako Yoneda (Matsushima), the founder of the Tokyo Regional Taxation Bureau's new division, the Complex National Tax Cases Processing Office (commonly known as Zakkoku), receives information from informant Shirai (Narumi Shinto) about suspected tax evasion at Fukuhagian, a long-established Japanese confectionery shop famous for its ohagi (rice dumplings).
Since the death of the previous owner, Shintaro Hagimoto (Hajime Okayama), business has been declining. Trouble is brewing between his twin brother Akiya (Kosei Yuki), who took over the business, and his younger brother Rian (Kaisei Uemura), who has opened a new sweets shop called "Shin FUKUHAGI-&".
Zakkoku tries to investigate the internal affairs of both stores, but Sakuko Iijima (Mao Daichi), who has known the previous owner and the brothers since they were children, strongly opposes and acts independently. When Akiya visits Fukuhagian for the first time in a while, he openly expresses his hostility towards Rian, saying, "I will not forgive anyone who embezzles the important money that my father saved for this store."
Masako, Koichi Sasano (Hayato Sano), and Toyosaku Furumachi (Katsumi Takahashi) head to Rian's store under the guise of a magazine interview to find out why Rian left Fukuhagian. Meanwhile, Yuka Tawara (Neru Nagahama), who was taking a substitute day off, witnesses Saku Hisako entering a young man's apartment...
The past of Saku Hisako, a skilled national tax investigator once feared as the "Raid Witch," is revealed. Masako learns of the trauma that still haunts her to this day...
