Singer-songwriter Kenshi Yonezu , who performs the theme song "IRIS OUT" for the animated film " Chainsaw Man Chainsaw Man : Reze Arc," based on the popular manga by Tatsuki Fujimoto , has released an archived video of his performance on the 76th NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen, which aired on New Year's Eve in 2025. The video of Yonezu's first performance of "IRIS OUT" was released on NHK's official YouTube channel for a limited time of one week, and exceeded 10 million views in six days. The "Reze Arc" is the story of Reze and the main character, Denji, who also appeared at the end of the TV anime that aired from October to December 2022, and became a hot topic. While Denji is excited about a date with his crush, Makima, he takes shelter from the rain and meets Reze, a young girl who works at a cafe. The film is directed by Tatsuya Yoshihara, who served as the action director for the TV anime, and produced by MAPPA. It was released on September 19, 2025, and has been a huge hit, grossing over 10 billion yen. There is also talk of a sequel to "Reze Arc," titled "Chainsaw Man: Assassin Arc."
