Actors Akari Takaishi and Juri Kosaka attended the formal wear unveiling ceremony held in Tokyo by their management agency, Avex Management Agency. The two heroines of the Asadora drama, Takaishi, who plays the heroine Toki Matsuno in the currently airing NHK morning Asadora " Bakebake ," and Uesaka, who plays one of the co-lead roles in the next drama " Kaze,Kaoru, " which will start this spring, were in attendance.
Takaishi, who has felt the positive response to " Bakebake ," said with a smile, "I'm very grateful. My family and friends have been telling me in detail what they liked about today's episode... It feels like something out of the ordinary, but I want to cherish the fact that this is my everyday life and do my best with (the rest of) the filming."
Uesaka, who co-stars with Ai Mikami in " Kaze,Kaoru, " reflected on her feelings upon winning the role in an audition that had around 2,400 participants, saying, "I was beyond happy; I was so overwhelmed with surprise, joy and happiness that I couldn't even comprehend it, and I cried a lot."
When asked about her outlook for the traditional Asadora baton-passing ceremony, Takaishi frankly stated, "It feels like a dream. When I heard that (Uesaka) was going to audition, I imagined, 'I wish something like this could happen,' and now I can't believe it's actually happening." Uesaka smiled and said, "The day is getting closer and closer, so I'm very excited."
When asked by the press if she had any advice for her juniors in the Asadora, Takaishi offered some encouragement, saying, "Since you're there all year round, I think your strength is that you can think of the set as your home. I know you're doing your best, so keep up the great work!"
