The program "Platinum Family: A Glimpse into the Lives of a Glamorous Family" (TV Asahi, Tuesdays at 7 PM *excluding some regions) introduces the lifestyles of "glamorous families." On June 16th, the program will air a hilarious 3-hour special titled "The Family, Relatives, and Neighbors Who Made Chisako Takashima Gathered Together," tracing the roots of the program's MC, Chisako.
Chisako's 92-year-old father, Hiroyuki, appeared in the studio. He said that when Chisako was young and exploring her future as a violinist, he would prepare a word processor and a golf set for her whenever she said she wanted to become a novelist or a professional golfer.
The episode also reveals an anecdote about father and daughter: Chisako secretly sold the "Eunos Roadster" that Hiroyuki had bought for her, and used the money to fund her studies abroad.
Furthermore, actor Masanobu Takashima, who is Chisako's cousin, also made a guest appearance. When Masanobu was little, he and his older brother, Masahiro, often came to Chisako's house to play. Regarding Chisako at that time, Masanobu said, "I only have the image of her being quiet and cute," recalling his gentle impression of her as a child.
Then, in the studio, they recreated her mother's favorite dishes that Chisako had loved since childhood: "corn fritters" and "yuzu pork." As she tasted these nostalgic flavors for the first time in about 30 years, Chisako shared memories of her mother, Kaoruko.
