The entertainment agency Avex Management Agency held its annual formal wear unveiling event in Tokyo, attended by nine talents, including Meru Nukumi, Akari Takaishi, and Juri Kosaka . This was the fifth time the event has been held, and this year a male talent also participated for the first time.
The first to appear in front of the press was model and actor "Meruru" Ikumi. "I was born in the year of the horse, so this year is my year of the horse. 2025 was a year of preparation, so I hope this year will be one where we can see a lot of that," she said with a smile. Having written her goal for this year on a colored paper as "running up," she said with a smile, "As I've said many times before, I'm a year of the horse, so I want to keep working without stopping or taking a break. I'll do my best!"
Takaishi, who plays the heroine Toki Matsuno in the currently airing NHK Asadora drama "Bakebake, " said, "2025 was a year in which I was supported by many people and learned a lot, so this year I would like to use that learning to do my best to deliver something good." She listed "sublimation" as her aspiration, explaining, "At the formal wear photo shoot exactly one year ago, I chose 'hana' (flower) to mean a year in which flowers bloom, but this year I added 'sho' (rising) to that, so that I can rise with what I have gained in 2025."
Uesaka, who will play one of the co-stars in the NHK morning drama " Kaze,Kaoru" which will begin airing this spring, commented, "2025 was a year in which I was blessed with many connections and my environment changed dramatically. This year, I would like to face my work to the fullest." She wrote that her goal for this year is "carefully and boldly," and said, "I would like to make this a year in which I can approach each job carefully, while also taking bold steps at times!"
Also attending the formal wear unveiling event were Matsuo Sonoma, an exclusive model for the teen fashion magazine "nicola" (Shinchosha); the Sato brothers, identical triplets and acrobatic performers with a total of approximately 3.3 million followers on social media; Arai Keishi, who gave a great performance as a host in last year's drama series "School of love." (Fuji TV); and Ishikawa Manabu, an exclusive model for the men's fashion magazine "Men's Non-no" (Shueisha).
