An exhibition commemorating the 55th anniversary of Adachi Mitsuru's career as an artist, known for works such as "Touch," will be Mitsuru Adachi at Sunshine City Exhibition Hall C (Toshima-ku, Tokyo) from December 19th. More than 40 treasured original drawings, including some that will be shown for the first time, will be on display, along with valuable materials such as rough sketches, making this the largest exhibition to date with a total of over 300 items on display. The exhibition will run until January 14th, 2026.
At the venue, the opening video will be screened on a large screen over 6 meters wide, and there will also be a giant wall featuring eight works: "Nine," "Hiatari Joyou!," "Miyuki," "Touch," "Rough," "H2," "Cross Game," and "MIX." There will also be an exhibition of the manga stories that lead to the famous scenes, as well as comic motion videos.
The "Mitsuru Adachi Works Gallery" will also be set up, showcasing Adachi's original drawings and sketches, with over 40 original drawings from his masterpieces such as "Slow Step," "Rainbow Pepper," "KATSU!," and "Always Misora" on display. In the "Touch" zone, a "prefab of memories" and a reproduction of Adachi's desk will be on display.
You can also enjoy an audio guide by Noriko Hidaka, the voice actress for Minami Asakura in the anime "Touch." Original merchandise will also be on sale at the venue.
