Ahead of the broadcast of the final episode of the final season of TV Asahi's Thursday drama "Emergency Interrogation Room" (Thursdays at 9 p.m.) on December 18th, footage of the wrap-up of filming featuring lead actress Yuki Amami and others has been released.
"Emergency Interrogation Room" is a popular series that depicts the psychological battle between the Metropolitan Police Department's First Investigative Division's "Emergency Case Response Interrogation Team (commonly known as Kintori)," led by interrogator Makabe Yukiko, played by Amami, and violent criminals. The series began airing in January 2014, and has aired four drama series and two special dramas to date. This will be the last drama series, and the series will conclude with the theatrical version, "Emergency Interrogation Room THE FINAL," which will be released on the 26th.
After finishing filming, Amami said with a deep expression, "I wouldn't be standing here today without everyone's help. I've caused a lot of trouble to the many staff members and co-stars, but it's because you all fought in so many different places that ' Emergency Interrogation Room', which started as a new attempt, has continued for 12 years and has become established as a genre of detective drama. I owe it all to you all that I've been able to come this far. With my heartfelt gratitude...Thank you very much!"
He sent a message to viewers saying, "I'm filled with gratitude. I hope you'll watch the drama series, of course, but also the movie version, all the way to the end...I'd be happy if you could see our Kintori team working hard."
The main cast members, Tetsushi Tanaka, Hayami Mokomichi, Suzuki Kosuke, Tsukaji Muga, Denden, and Fumiyo Kohinata, all looked overwhelmed with emotion as they welcomed the final day of filming. Tanaka expressed his gratitude, saying, "We've caused a lot of trouble over the past 12 years, but thanks to everyone, including Amami, we were able to keep going."
Tsukaji, whose birthday was on the last day of filming, was overwhelmed with emotion, saying, "I'll never forget this day." Suzuki, unable to contain his overflowing emotions, burst into tears, saying, "I was so happy to have had the opportunity to learn."
Kohinata expressed his regret at leaving, saying, "I love this set, so to be honest, I'm sad to say goodbye. I'd love to work with the same cast again somewhere, even if it's a period piece or something. I'm looking forward to living a little longer so I can meet everyone again."
The final episode, airing on the 18th, continues the story from the previous week's episode 8. The Kintori team attempts to uncover the full truth behind a shooting incident that occurred during a shooting training session at the police academy. With the help of their former colleagues, detectives Ikoma Ami (Manami Higa), Sakai Torazo (Nomaguchi Toru), and Yamagami Yoshiharu (Kudo Asuka), from the First Investigation Division, they take on the challenge with all their might.
