The main visual for the theatrical version of the TV anime " The Dangers in My Heart The Dangers in My Heart, " based on the popular manga by Norio Sakurai currently being serialized on Akita Shoten's manga site Manga Cross, has been released. It depicts Ichikawa Kyotaro and Anna Yamada standing amongst a row of cherry blossom trees in full bloom. Behind them, Sekine Moeko, Kobayashi Chihiro, and Yoshida Serina appear to be having fun, with Nanjo Haruya quietly gazing at Yamada. It has also been announced that the band Yorushika, who performed the opening theme for the first season of the TV anime, will perform the theme song for the theatrical version, "Akane."
The official trailer was also released on YouTube, showcasing a scene featuring Ichikawa Kana, the older sister of Ichikawa Kyotaro, also known as "Onee." The video is full of realism, set to the song "Tsudzuku" by Onee's band, Primary COLOR, and towards the end, there is a scene where Ichikawa and Yamada seem to share their feelings, set to the theme song "Akane."
Yorushika's n-buna commented, "I love the poetry collection Wakanashu by Shimazaki Toson, and I used to read it often. One of the poems in it is called Shiruya Kimi (Do You Know?). I was directly influenced by it and wrote Akane. For some reason, ' The Dangers in My Heart' evokes the image of dusk. Perhaps it's the relationship between the characters that gives it that impression, or I also have a hunch that the intense nostalgia we feel for our student days is close to the color bright red. I hope that this song, Akane, along with 'Shayo', which I previously provided, will add color to the video work ' The Dangers in My Heart'."
The second round of Mubichike advance tickets (cards) with special ticket holders will go on sale on December 2nd.
The film will feature re-edited footage from the TV anime, as well as all-new footage of what happens after the second season, including a live performance by Kyotaro's sister Kana and "that moment between Ichikawa and Yamada." It is scheduled to be released on February 13, 2026.
"The Dangers in My Heart" began serialization in Weekly Shonen Champion (Akita Shoten) in 2018 and is currently being serialized in Champion Cross (same publisher). It is a youthful romantic comedy about Ichikawa Kyotaro, an introverted boy in the midst of his chuunibyou syndrome, and Anna Yamada, a beautiful, outgoing girl at the top of the school's social hierarchy. It has gained popularity, having been ranked in the men's section of "This Kono Manga ga Sugoi!" for two consecutive years in 2020 and 2021, and winning first place in the web manga category of the Next Manga Awards 2020 in 2020. The comic has sold over 6.5 million copies in total.
The first season of the TV anime aired from April to June 2023, and the second season aired from January to March 2024 on TV Asahi's late-night anime slot "NUMAnimation."
