It has been announced that the second season of the TV anime "Hell's Paradise: Jigokuraku," based on the manga by Yuji Kaku that was serialized on Shueisha's manga app "Shonen Jump+," will begin airing on TV Tokyo and other networks every Sunday at 11:45 PM starting January 11, 2026. A new main visual by MAPPA, the anime's production company, has also been released. It depicts the 11 main characters, including Gabimaru, with Rien looking down on them with a mysterious air.
Character visuals for Yamada Asaemon Shugen, Yamada Asaemon Toka, Yamada Asaemon Kiyomaru, and Yamada Asaemon Irin, who will be landing on the island for the first time in the second season, have also been released.
In preparation for the broadcast of the second season, a 15-minute compilation of the first season, "The Anime ' Hell's Paradise: Jigokuraku' in 15 Minutes," has been released on YouTube. Just like the main anime, Kenji Nomura will be providing the narration.
"Hell's Paradise: Jigokuraku" was serialized in "Shonen Jump+" from January 2018 to January 2021. Set in the late Edo period, the story follows the strongest ninja, Gamimaru, who is betrayed by his comrades and taken prisoner. In order to be reunited with his beloved wife, he fights against monsters in search of the elixir of immortality in order to be freed.
The anime is directed by Kaori Makita and produced by MAPPA. Chiaki Kobayashi plays the main character, Gabimaru. The first season of the TV anime aired from April to July 2023.
