The first volume of the comic " Subaru and Subaru " (Kodansha), a new series by Shuichi Shigeno, known for manga such as " Initial D" and "MF Ghost ," was released on November 6th.
The series began serialization in the 34th issue of the manga magazine "Young Magazine" (Kodansha), which went on sale on July 22nd. This marks the "fastest return" since " MF Ghost," which ended its serialization in February.
This manga follows "Initial D" and its "successor," "MF Ghost." The story follows the year after Takumi Fujiwara's student, Kanata Rivington, dominated the MFG street race, as Subaru Sato from Gunma and Comet Kudo from Kanagawa both fuel their fighting spirit to take on the challenge. The worlds of "Initial D" and "MF Ghost" come together to depict the "legend of the true fastest car on public roads" created by the two "Subarus."
To commemorate the release, an "Unchanging Love of Cars" advertisement was published in the national edition of the Asahi Shimbun on November 6th. It features a picture of the Subaru BRZ driven by Sato Subaru, with the tagline "We can't stay away from cars."
