The popular NHK variety show "Bura Tamori" (General), in which TV personality Tamori visits various towns, will air a segment titled "Zao Onsen ▼ The Secret of the Birth of the Extremely Popular Snow Country Resort & the Mysterious Spectacular "Ice Trees"" from 7:30 pm on November 1st. The journey will take place in Zao Onsen, Yamagata, and will uncover the secret behind the birth of this extremely popular snow country resort.

Tamori and his group discover a mysterious slope while walking through the steamy hot spring town, wondering how one of Japan's most acidic hot springs came to be. They then take a ropeway to the plateau on top of the mountain and experience the mysterious and spectacular frost-covered trees that symbolize Zao in winter.
At the end, he is moved by the mountain villa associated with Jiro Shirasu, who loved Zao very much.
Tamori's travel partner will be NHK Hiroshima announcer Mana Sato, and the narration will be provided by singer-songwriter Aimyon.
