On October Getsuku , actors Haru and Rina Kawaei attended the "Premiere Preview & Production Announcement Conference the day before the premiere!" for the drama series "Fake Kummy" (TBS, Friday 10pm, starts on the 10th), in which they co-star.
This is the first time the two have acted together in five years. Kawaei said, "Haru and I have completely different personalities, so when I tried to find something we had in common, we found that we both like scary things and have older sisters, but that's about it. We're really polar opposites, and we play completely different types of characters, so I thought the contrast would be really interesting."
This time they will be co-starring, and he said, "Haru-san was also the lead when I worked with her last time. She's a leader who really sets the example, and she carries herself with such dignity that her strength is very helpful."
Haru revealed, "Kawaei's tough and energetic side really overlaps with the character I play, Madoka, and working with her really inspires me, and I get a lot of energy from her, so I work hard every day on filming."
The drama is a serial adaptation of the winning work by Sonomura Mitsuru, who won the grand prize in the first TBS NEXT WRITERS CHALLENGE screenplay competition. After suddenly quitting her job and struggling to find a new one, Hanamura Kaoru (Haru) interviews with the venture company RAINBOWLAB, where she meets the company president and single mother, Hidaka Mamie (Kawaei). She is asked to act as a substitute for her daughter, who is applying to a prestigious private elementary school.
The press conference was attended by Snow Man's Koji Mukai, Nakamura Aoi, Noro Kayo, Ikemura Aoi, and Tanaka Minami. Tsuda Atsuhiro of the comedy duo Diane also appeared, disguised as a reporter. The event was hosted by the station's announcer, Yamamoto Erika.
