A program featuring singer-songwriter Fujii Kaze, "NHK MUSIC SPECIAL Fujii Kaze ~Now, in the World~" will be broadcast on NHK General TV from 10pm on October Getsuku. NHK has been following Fujii's progress on the world stage for three years, and has also covered the production of his first album with all English lyrics released by Republic Records in the US, his first European and North American tour, and behind the scenes footage of his music video shoot.
During a program broadcast on the same station last year, Fujii promised to "make a third album before I'm 27," and true to his word, his third album, "Prema," was released simultaneously worldwide on September 5th. Recorded in Los Angeles, Tokyo, and Korea, the songs transcend borders and genres and are imbued with his extraordinary determination and passion.
The station has been documenting the behind-the-scenes production of this music for three years, and the full story will finally be revealed in this program.
The program also follows Fujii on his overseas tour. It covers the trajectory of his challenge as he talks about his dreams, takes on challenges, and finally takes flight into the world, as well as what he envisions next. The narration is provided by actor Nakano Taiga.
