It has been announced that the MUSIC AWARDS JAPAN, Japan's largest international music awards, selected by 5,000 musicians, will be held again in 2026. The awards ceremony will be held at the Toyota Arena Tokyo (Koto Ward, Tokyo), which is scheduled to open in October 2025.
The Music Awards Japan is the largest international music awards in Japan, with the concept of "Connecting with the world and lighting up the future of music." It was established by five major organizations in the Japanese music industry, including the Recording Industry Association of Japan. The first awards ceremony was held in May 2025 at the ROHM Theatre Kyoto (Sakyo Ward, Kyoto City), with Mrs. Green Apple winning the Best Artist Award.
The Music Awards Japan 2026 will be even bigger than the first event in 2025. Plans are also underway to include a stage where a variety of artists can perform, as well as seminars and showcases by people in the music industry from Japan and abroad.
