"Anpan" Episode 97: Viewers heartbroken over Tetsuko's decision

The 97th episode of the NHK Asadora drama series "Anpan " (General TV, Monday to Saturday, 8:00 AM and other times), starring Mio Imada , was broadcast on August 12th, and in it, Tetsuko (Toda Keiko) made a decision that became a hot topic among viewers.

In episode 97, when Nobu (Imada) arrives at work, Tetsuko tells her, "I have something important to tell you," and then tells her, "I've decided that you're not fit to be my secretary." When Nobu asks, "Are you fired?", Tetsuko replies, "I'll find work so that you and your husband don't end up out on the streets," and "This is the best thing for both of us. You won't find what you're looking for if you stay here," and, holding back tears, bows to Nobu, saying, "Thank you for all your hard work over the past six years."

Later, Tetsuko visits Yagi's ( Satoshi Tsumabuki) general store and reports that she has fired Nobu. "Someone as pure as Nobu couldn't be Ata's secretary," she explains. Yagi replies, "Maybe you're the one who's scared of her? Being with her reminds me of my pure side, and it's like I can't drink muddy water." Tetsuko says, "You only say nasty things. I'm not coming here anymore. Ata doesn't have that much free time either," and leaves the place.
