"The Apothecary Diaries" wins two awards at TikTok's "Anime and Manga Awards"

The popular anime "The Apothecary Diaries" was selected as the grand prize winner in the currently airing anime and theme song categories of TikTok's "Fan-Passive Anime and Manga Awards" for the Spring 2025 season. The awards focus on the "passion" of users in the anime and manga genre, and the series has achieved a double crown, following its win in the Winter 2025 season ranking. It also attracted attention when it was selected as the grand prize winner in the "TikTok First Half Trend Awards 2025" announced in June this year.

The rankings and grand prizes for each category were announced for works that attracted attention on TikTok in the spring 2025 season (April to June 2025). In the theme song category, the rock band Mrs. Green Apple's "Kusushiki," the theme song for "The Apothecary Diaries," won the grand prize. The story is set in the glamorous harem of a certain continent, where Maomao, a poison taster, becomes embroiled in an incident that unfolds in the harem, which is filled with conspiracies and rumors, together with the handsome harem caretaker, Jinshi.

The first season of the TV anime aired on Nippon Television from October 2023 to March 2024. The second season began airing on Nippon Television's anime slot "FRIDAY ANIME NIGHT" on January 10th, with the final episode airing on July 4th. A sequel has also been announced.
