Takeshi Kaga will appear on "Tetsuko's Room" broadcast on July 31st

Actor Takeshi Kaga will appear on Tetsuko Kuroyanagi's long-running talk show "Tetsuko's Room" (TV Asahi), which will be broadcast at 1:00 p.m. on July 31st.

It's been 53 years since his debut on stage. Kaga, who joined Shiki Theatre Company in 1972, shares memories of his fellow performer, Ichimura Masachika. His first appearance on the show was four years after he left Shiki Theatre Company. A video clip of him talking about "Unexpected Neighbors" is shown.

She is originally from Kanazawa City, and her stage name is a reference to Kaga. Her grandmother ran a kimono shop, but as times changed, she started a tailoring business. She grew up wearing clothes handmade by her grandmother. She began singing in a choir in the fourth grade of elementary school, and says that meeting the choir teacher had such a big influence on her that she is who she is today.
