It has been announced that the new season of "Professions for a Professional Girlfriend," a three-minute short drama app for the BUMP app, will be released on August 6th at 7 PM. A complete revamp from season 2, which featured Hikari Kabashima and Kishi Asuka, the series will feature Shida Kohaku, Sakurai Reika, and Komiya Rio as the main cast, and will depict the "Entertainment World Arc," a popular episode from the original manga. Kishi, Naito Shuichiro, Komatsu Toshimasa, and Hakamada Yoshihiko will also be appearing, continuing from season 2.
The drama is based on the web manga "Conditions for a Professional Girlfriend: Women Who Want to Marry Celebrities" (Core Mix), written by hina and illustrated by acca. It depicts the insatiable desire for approval and the fierce battle for dominance of "professional girlfriends," ordinary women who only date celebrities and athletes. Season 1 was released on BUMP in April 2024, and Season 2 in October of the same year, generating a lot of buzz.
In Season 3, set in a drama production, a new assistant director falls in love with a handsome actor, and after meeting a professional girlfriend, she decides to follow the same path. However, an unexpected pitfall awaits her... and so the story unfolds.
The heroine of this work, new AD Namima Yuki, will be played by Shida, who made her breakthrough in the Super Sentai series "Batarou Sentai Don Brothers" (2022-2023).
Onda Kotone, a successful professional girlfriend, will be played by former Nogizaka46 member and actor Sakurai. Konno Ryosuke, the popular handsome actor Yuki falls in love with, will be played by Komiya Rio, who has been active in numerous dramas and stage productions since gaining attention for his role in the Super Sentai series "Mashin Sentai Kiramager" (2020-21).
To celebrate Season 3, BUMP is releasing all episodes of Seasons 1 and 2 for free until August 12th at noon.
