It has been announced that the second season of the TV anime "Wisteria of the Staff and Sword," based on the manga by Fujino Omori, who is known for the popular light novel "Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon (DanMachi)," will be broadcast in 2026. A visual commemorating the first anniversary of the first season of the TV anime was also released. The visual, drawn by Aoi Sei, who is in charge of the illustrations of the original work, features the main character Will and his classmates at the magic academy. It was also announced that all 12 episodes of the first season of the TV anime will be available for free streaming for a limited time on YouTube and other platforms from July 7th.
"Wan to Ken no Wisteria" is written by Omori and illustrated by Aoi, and has been serialized in "Bessatsu Shonen Magazine" (Kodansha) since December 2020. Set in a world where magic is supreme, the story follows Will, a boy who cannot use magic at all, who enrolls in a magic academy and fights through it despite being discouraged by the cold stares of those around him.
The first season of the TV anime aired from July to September 2024.
