The 64th episode of the NHK Asadora drama "Anpan " starring Mio Imada (General TV, Monday to Saturday at 8:00 am and others) was broadcast on June 26th, and viewers were moved by the message left by Nobu's (Imada) late husband Jiro ( Ayumu Nakajima) in shorthand.
In episode 64, Jiro's mother Setsuko (Misuzu Kanno) leaves the shorthand book that Jiro used at Nobu's house. Nobu looks at the shorthand book and deciphers the message that Jiro wrote in shorthand while he was in bed in episode 61 (broadcast on June 23).
At dawn, Nobu was finally able to decipher the whole thing. It read, "To Nobu, see with your own eyes, stand on your own two feet, and run as fast as you can without being overtaken by despair. That is my final dream."
In response to Jiro's final message on social media, people have been saying things like, "Jiro was a truly wonderful person," "Such a loving person," "I wonder if he passed on the camera and shorthand so that Nobu would learn some skill that would be useful in the future even if he was gone," "The words Jiro left behind will become a light and a guide for Nobu," and "Jiro's final dream... was love for Nobu."
