Additional cast members added to WOWOW drama "Hei no Naka no Biyoshitsu " starring Nao: Ayumu Nakajima, Kamikawa Shusaku, Nakajima Sena, Kinashi Noritake and others

It was revealed on June 25th that actors Ayumu Nakajima , Kamikawa Shusaku, Nakajima Sena, and Kinashi Noritake will appear in the WOWOW drama "Serial Drama W-30 ' Hei no Naka no Biyoshitsu '" (Fridays at 11pm), which will start on August 22nd and will star actress Nao.

The drama is based on the novel of the same name by Sakurai Mina (Futaba Bunko), which was modeled on a real beauty salon that operates inside a prison. Set in the "Aozora Beauty Salon" where inmates cut the hair of regular customers inside a women's prison, the drama follows the protagonist, inmate and hairdresser Komatsubara Haru (Nao), as she faces the crime she committed and her future life through her encounters with various people.

Ayumu Nakajima , who played the heroine's husband Jiro in the currently airing NHK Asadora drama "Anpan ," will play Haru's ex-boyfriend Nanuma Hiroki. Kamikawa, who has appeared in popular dramas such as the morning Asadora"The Tiger and Her Wings" in the first half of 2024 and the Fuji TV "Getsuku" drama "Second to Last Love 3," which recently aired its final episode, will play Tsuda Shota, Haru's older sister Natsu (Kaho), who wants to marry her.

Sena Nakajima, who appeared in the drama "W Sai" (WOWOW) broadcast and distributed in April this year, plays the role of Aya Ichii, a hair model who decides to cut her hair for a certain reason. Nao, who played mother and daughter in the drama "Haru Ni Nattara" (Kansai TV/Fuji TV) broadcast last year, and Kinashi, who will be co-starring for the first time in about a year and a half, will also appear, but their roles have not been revealed.

Other guests include Kirara Inori, Mayumi Asaka, Saori Yuki, Naomi Nishida, Tanka Nagai, Yuriko Hirooka, and Shima Ise. A promotional video was also released.

The screenplay will be written by Kyoko Inukai, who has worked on films such as "Wind Phone" (2020) and "Egoist" (2023). The director will be Kana Matsumoto, who has worked on the drama "Danchi no Futari" (NHK BS/BS Premium 4K, 2024) and the serial drama W "Fence" (2023), which won the Grand Prize in the TV category at the 61st Galaxy Awards.

"Hei no Naka no Biyoshitsu" will have 7 episodes and will be broadcast and streamed on WOWOW Prime and WOWOW On Demand. The first episode will be broadcast for free.
