It was announced on June 20th that Taichi Kokubun of the popular group "TOKIO" will be taking an indefinite break from all activities. The announcement was made on the official website of TOKIO Corporation.
The official statement read, "We have recently come to the attention of our talent, Kokubun Taichi, who has been in violation of compliance regulations. After discussing this with him and encouraging him to reflect deeply on his actions, we have decided to suspend all activities indefinitely, effective June 20th."
He continued, "I sincerely apologize to all the people involved and fans who support me on a daily basis for this sudden announcement," and added, "At this point, nothing has been decided about my future plans."

We would like to offer our sincere apologies to all those involved and to the fans who continue to support us regarding this matter, for any inconvenience caused.
The cause of all this is a lack of awareness of the position we find ourselves in over many years of activity, naivety and complacency in our thinking, and inadequate action.
I will be taking a break from all activities for an indefinite period of time to reexamine myself.
Once again, we would like to apologize for any inconvenience caused.
