It has been announced that Jun Fukuyama will be appearing as a voice actor in the second part of "Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun 2," the second season of the TV anime "Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun," based on the manga by Aida Iro that is currently being serialized in "Monthly G Fantasy" (Square Enix). Fukuyama will play the sixth of the Seven Wonders, Lord Shinigami. The key visual for the second part, depicting Hanako-kun and Yashiro Nene, was also released. It was also announced that Oishi Masayoshi will be in charge of the opening theme "Kagome Kagome" and Akari Kito will be in charge of the ending theme "mo∞ent."
Fukuyama commented, "Mysterious? Creepy? He's such an elusive character that I don't know how to describe him. He speaks in Kyoto-style language and his mind is unreadable, so please look forward to seeing how he gets involved in the story!!" He continued, "There are many mysteries, such as what purpose Shinigami has in his actions and what his background is, but these will become clear later on, so I hope you will enjoy it little by little!!"
"Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun" depicts the daily efforts of Yashiro Nene, a young girl who forms a bond with Hanako-kun, also known as "Hanako-san of the Toilet," the seventh of Kamome Academy's seven wonders, and Minamoto Mitsuru, a young boy who works as an exorcist, as they work to restore the altered rumors of the seven wonders and monsters.
The first season of the TV anime aired from January to March 2020. The first half of the second season will air from January to March, and the second half will air on TBS every Sunday at 4:30 pm starting July 6th.
