Indians:The duo changed their name to "Chomage Ramen" - a surprising decision from Mizudou Kikaku (full comment)

On June 18, the comedy duo "Indians" changed their name to "Chomage Ramen." The popular duo, which has been together for 15 years, made this unexpected decision as part of a prank on the variety show "Wednesday Downtown" (TBS), which aired on the same day.

The Indians were formed in 2010 as a comedy duo consisting of comedian Akihiro Tabuchi and straight man Kimu. They are known for their talent, having made it to the finals of the M-1 Grand Prix for three consecutive years since 2019.

After being pranked on "Wednesday Downtown" by a "Native American-looking group" who demanded that they change their duo's name, the duo agonized over several options before deciding to change their name to "Chomage Ramen."

The group will hold their first solo concert since the name change, "Preparing With All Our Heart," at Lumine the Yoshimoto on August 16th.

So, I'm Kimu from Chonmage Ramen! Kimu from Chonmage Ramen? ? Haha I'm still surprised myself. After all this time in show business, I decided to change the name of my comedy duo.

And topknot ramen! That's so lame!!! But when Tabucchan first mentioned it we both burst out laughing, so we trusted his sensibility and went with this.

I'm sure some of you are confused by the sudden change, but I'm confused too, so let's get used to it together!!! And as a side note, those of you who watched the broadcast will know, but I actually really liked Ryugujo Joker. Haha, I was really humbled by Penis.
