It has been announced that "The Idolmaster Million Live!", a popular game series, will be launching a project called "SPECIAL SOLO RECORDS" to release 52 solo collection CDs of all 52 idols over 52 consecutive weeks. The project will attempt to set a Guinness World Record for the "Most consecutive weeks that a music artist releases different versions of the same song on CD."
A new CD will be released every week for about a year from July 23rd to July 15th, 2026. Each CD will include nine anniversary songs that have been released since the game "THE IDOLM@STER MILLION LIVE! Theater Days" began service. The nine songs are "Brand New Theater!", "UNION!!", "Flyers!!!", "Glow Map", "Harmony 4 You", "Rainbow on Dreams", "Crossing!", "Good Sign", and "7Days A Week!!". The first release, "THE IDOLM@STER MILLION LIVE! SPECIAL SOLO RECORDS Kasuga Mirai" sung by Kasuga Mirai, will be released on July 23rd. All CDs will be priced at 3,300 yen.
As a bonus for purchasing all 52 products at once, customers will receive a special badge with the "Idolmaster Million Live!" logo and the Guinness World Records logo. If you preorder by June 22nd, you will also receive a "52 CD storage box" and a "SPECIAL SOLO RECORDS badge" as early reservation bonuses. After the sale of all 52 products, a release commemoration event will be held exclusively for purchasers. 100 people will be invited by lottery from purchasers of each CD.
"The Idolmaster Million Live!" began service in 2013 as a social game in the "The Idolmaster" series. Currently, the smartphone game "The Idolmaster Million Live! Theater Days" is being distributed. The player becomes a producer and aims to become a top idol together with the 52 idols belonging to 765 Production. The series will celebrate its 10th anniversary in February 2023, and in addition to the game, it has been widely expanded into a media mix including anime, merchandise, music, live events, and radio.
