The Fuji TV Getsuku drama "Second to Last Love 3 " (Mondays at 9pm) starring Kyoko Koizumi and Kiichi Nakai has released the synopsis and stills from the 8th episode, which will air on June 2nd.
Mariko Nagakura (Yuki Uchida) was working on a proposal for a drama that would air on Getsuku. It was her first original work, and the theme was the feelings Mariko had for Chiaki Yoshino (Koizumi).
Noriko Mizutani (Naoko Iijima) was feeling lonely living alone. Her home was filled with various "things" that held memories of her life with her husband Hiroyuki (Kazuyuki Asano) and son Sho, and she couldn't get rid of them. In a dilemma, Noriko contacted Chiaki. Chiaki, who was at a bar with Kazuhira Nagakura (Nakai), went to Noriko's house with her.
Another day. Nagakura Shinpei (Sakaguchi Kenji) and his family Tomomi (Satsukawa Manami) are holding a party at Cafe Nagakura. It seems that Shinpei has something to tell everyone. At Shinpei's request, Chiaki and the Nagakura family wait at Chiaki's house until the party preparations are finished. Everyone reacts to Shinpei's words...
Later, when Chiaki returns to her workplace, JMT TV, she has a gloomy look on her face. The reason is that at a band debut party hosted by her fellow female friend, music producer Mizuno Sachiko (Watanabe Makiko), she heard from Araki Keiko (Hiroko Moriguchi) that she plans to retire. Although she understands the decision, Chiaki is saddened.
Mitsui-san (Kubota Maki), who has been Chiaki's right-hand man for many years, tells her, "I don't want you to come into the staff room now." Chiaki is re-energized by her unexpected encouragement.
There is a fateful day for Wahei. It is the day that the mayor of Kamakura, Ryoko Isayama (Rie Shibata), responds to the question of whether she will run for the next mayoral election. What will Wahei's conclusion be in light of the mayor's passionate feelings?
The script was written by Yoshikazu Okada, who also wrote the first and second seasons. Set in Kamakura, the story depicts the love between a TV station producer played by Koizumi and a Kamakura city employee played by Nakai. The theme song is also sung by Ayumi Hamasaki, as in the third season.
