It has been revealed that a new mini- Gege Akutami, "Jujutsu Kaisen: The Movie Compilation", will be included in the movie compilation of the second season of the TV anime "Kaigyoku/Gyokusetsu", based on the popular manga by Akutami Gege that was serialized in "Weekly Jujutsu Kaisen " (Kaigyoku/Gyokusetsu). The anime, based on the original work by Akutami and produced by MAPPA, features three classmates from the Jujutsu Technical College: Satoru Gojo, Geto Suguru Geto, and Shoko Ieiri .
It was also announced that a stage greeting will be held on May 30th, the first day of the theatrical compilation. Yuichi Nakamura , who plays Satoru Gojo , Takahiro Sakurai , who plays Suguru Geto Shoko Ieiri, who plays Aya Endo, and Nagase Anna, who plays Amano Riko, will be on stage. A live viewing will also be held at theaters nationwide.
"Jujutsu Kaisen" is a manga that was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" from March 2018 to September 2024. The story is about a high school student, Yuji Itadori, who is thrown into a world of battles over curses after a powerful "cursed object" is unsealed. The total number of copies of the comic series published is over 100 million.
The first season of the TV anime aired from October 2020 to March 2021. The movie version, Jujutsu Kaisen 0 to the first season, was released in December 2021 and was a huge hit, grossing approximately 13.75 billion yen in Japan and approximately 26.5 billion yen worldwide. The second season of the TV anime , Kaigyoku/Gyokusetsu/ Shibuya Incident, aired from July to December 2023. There is also talk of a sequel to the anime, Culling Game, being produced.
