◇The following contains spoilers
"Akinaiseiden Kin to Gin" is set in the mid-Edo period and depicts the common people who work hard and use their wits to succeed in business, while incorporating a variety of customs. In Season 1, which aired in 2023, the main character Sachi (Koshiba) marries Tomozo (Leo Matsumoto), the sixth-generation owner of Gosuzuya, and begins selling "Hamahabutae" from New Year's as a desperate plan to revive the struggling Gosuzuya.
Season 2 is the "Edo Edition." It begins immediately after Season 1, with Sachi and Chizo expanding the store and realizing the dream of the previous owner of Gosuzuya, to open a store in Edo, but Sachi is hit by a series of sad events.
In the seventh episode, Sachi (Koshiba) sends Kensuke (Sakuma Yu) to Shirako, the village of Ise Katagami, to make a komon for Suzu. Meanwhile, Tetsusuke (Yashima Norito) reports that his kimono friends in Tenma are encouraging women to extend their names. This is thanks to Soji (Kato Shigeaki) being in Edo.
A few months later, the stencil arrives and Sachi asks Osai's (Nahana) husband, Rikizo (Ikeda Tsutomu), to dye it, but for some reason he refuses. At that time, Nakamura Tomigorō (Kataoka Sennosuke), the best female impersonator and kabuki actor of the time, comes to Gosuzuya... and so the story unfolds.
