"Anime 1 Week" introduces the latest anime news from the past week. From May 4th to 10th, news items that attracted attention included the release of the Gundam model kit "HG 1/144 Gaia/Ortega Rick Dom (GQ)" and the holding of a "Be Forever Yamato: Rebel 3199" screening with Yamatalk [Mecha Design Edition]".
On the 4th, it was announced that the TV anime "Chitose-kun is in a Ramune Bottle," based on the popular light novel from Shogakukan Gagaga Bunko (Shogakukan), will begin airing in October.
On the 5th, it was announced that Nara Ippei's manga "The Daily Life of a 29-Year-Old Single Mid-Career Adventurer," currently being serialized in "Bessatsu Shonen Magazine" (Kodansha), will be adapted into a TV anime. It is an adventure fantasy in which veteran adventurer Shinonome Hajime meets an orphaned girl named Lilui, and they become friends and live together. Fukushima Toshiki will be the director and will also be in charge of series composition. It will be produced by HORNETS. It was also announced that Makoto Furukawa will play the role of Shinonome Hajime, and Sayumi Suzushiro will play the role of Lilui.
On the 7th, it was revealed that the Gunpla "HG 1/144 Rick Dom Gaia/Ortega (GQ)" from the latest work in the popular anime "Gundam" series, "Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX (GQ Axe)," will be released in September. The product name had been kept secret up until now as "HG Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX New Product E (tentative)," but it was announced that it is a Gunpla of the Rick Dom Gaia/Ortega.
On the 7th, it was revealed that the average viewership rating (Kanto region, Video Research survey, hereafter the same) for Studio Ghibli's animated feature film "The Boy and the Heron?", which won the 96th Academy Award for Best Animated Feature on the 7th, was 12.4% for households and 7.9% for individuals. This was the first time the film was broadcast on television, airing on Nippon Television's Friday Road Show on the 2nd.
On the 8th, a screening of the third chapter of the latest installment of the remake series of the popular anime "Space Battleship Yamato", "Be Forever Yamato: Rebel 3199", "Ultramarine Asteroid", entitled "Screening with Yamatalk [Mecha Design Edition]", was held at Shinjuku Piccadilly (Shinjuku Ward, Tokyo). On the 9th, it was announced that Yamamori Mika's manga "In the Clear Moonlit Dusk," currently being serialized in "Monthly Dessert" (Kodansha), will be adapted into a TV anime and broadcast on TBS from January 2026. The story is a love story between Takiguchi Yoi, a girl known as a "prince" for her good looks and smart behavior, and Ichimura Kohaku, a senior student who is also known as a "prince." It will be directed by Maruyama Yusuke and produced by East Fish Studio. Ichinomiya Rei will play Takiguchi Yoi and Ryota Suzuki will play Ichimura Kohaku.
On the 10th, it was announced that the TV anime "Silent Witch: The Secret of the Silent Witch," based on the light novel by Iku Matsuri, who is popular on the novel posting site "Shosetsuka ni Naro," will be broadcast on TOKYO MX and other stations from July 4th.
