It has been announced that Nara Ippei's manga "The Daily Life of a 29-Year-Old Single Mid-Career Adventurer," currently being serialized in "Bessatsu Shonen Magazine" (Kodansha), will be adapted into a TV anime. This is a fantasy adventure in which veteran adventurer Shinonome Hajime meets an orphaned girl named Lilui, and they become friends and live together. Fukushima Toshiki will be the director and will also be in charge of series composition. It will be produced by HORNETS. It was also announced that Makoto Furukawa will play the role of Shinonome Hajime, and Sayumi Suzushiro will play the role of Lilui.
Director Fukushima commented, "The film has a laid-back style, but there's also laughter and tears. I hope you enjoy the unique characters. I've been having fun working on this production together with the staff and cast, trying to create an atmosphere that evokes Nara-sensei's worldview. I hope you will all enjoy it."
Main character designer Nagamori Yoshihiro said, "It was both difficult and fun to bring together the evolving characters from the original work. I hope that people will enjoy this laid-back and fun world that is energetic, cute, and cheerful, and sometimes severe and cool."
Furukawa commented, "As the title suggests, 'Daily Life' depicts the colorful daily lives of the characters, centered around Hajime and Lilui. But there is also variety in everyday life. There are moments that make you laugh, moments that make you seriously worried, and moments that are tense. It's a little different from reality, but each character lives their lives, falling down and getting up. I think that's what makes it interesting, and I feel that this is a work that I would like many people to see. I would be happy if you would check it out!"
Suzushiro says, "When I read the original work for the first time, I remember being moved by how it could make me feel so calm and warm. All the characters were so charming in their own way, and I enjoyed reading it, imagining myself as a member of Komai village, thinking that I would like to be a part of that circle. Lilui is tomboyish but very honest, but she actually has a certain trait...! I hope you will also pay attention to the interactions between her and Hajime, who is clumsy but actually very kind, and experience the warm and kind atmosphere of everyone in Komai village. Thank you for your support!!"
