The Gunpla (plastic model) of the Nu Gundam that appears in the anime "Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack" is being released as "PG UNLEASHED 1/60 Nu Gundam" from Bandai Spirits' "PG UNLEASHED" series, and it has become a hot topic. This is a new product commemorating the 45th anniversary of Gunpla, and the popular Nu Gundam will be released from the "highest brand."

"PG UNLEASHED" is a series commemorating the 40th anniversary of Gunpla, and the first release was the Gunpla from "Mobile Suit Gundam," "PG UNLEASHED 1/60 RX-78-2 Gundam," which was released in December 2020. The first release aimed to be a culmination of the 40th anniversary and a Gunpla that represents the current achievement.
It uses a large insert frame, has over 90 movable joints, and even has hatches that open all over the body. It has been made with attention to detail in its appearance, with metal parts and newly developed etching stickers. It is equipped with an LED unit that lights up the beam sabers and verniers... and has become a hot topic as a luxurious Gunpla worthy of being called the "highest quality."

The Nu Gundam is the second release and the first new product in about five years, and was announced at the opening ceremony of the "GUNDAM NEXT FUTURE -FINAL-" event, which took place from February 21st to 24th at the Shinjuku Sumitomo Building Triangle Plaza (Shinjuku, Tokyo). It was only announced that it would be commercialized, and no actual product or prototype was exhibited. No specifications or release date have been announced.
At the opening ceremony, Taro Inayoshi, who is in charge of planning at Bandai Spirits' Hobby Division, said, "We are currently developing products that will please our fans. We hope you look forward to the volume, density, and craftsmanship that you have never seen before. We should be able to report the next details around spring this year.
