Koki, the second daughter of Takuya Kimura and Kudo Shizuka, a model and actress, made a surprise appearance as a secret guest at the fashion event "40th Mynavi Tokyo Girls Collection (TGC) 2025 SPRING/SUMMER," held at the National Yoyogi Stadium No. 1 Gymnasium (Shibuya-ku, Tokyo) on March 1st.
Koki, made her first appearance at TGC. She appeared on the stage of her lead movie "True Beauty" (directed by Hoshino Kazunari), and when she "descended" in a bright red dress from a lifter about 4 meters high, the audience erupted in cheers. Afterwards, she walked down the runway with her co-stars Keisuke Watanabe and Keito Tsuna on either side of her, smiling, and appealed, "This is a movie that will bring many dreams and smiles, so I hope many people will see it."
The film depicts the nine years of the protagonist Tanigawa Reina (Koki,) who lives a perfect school life as a "goddess" that everyone admires, but has a secret that she can't tell anyone about her bare face. Watanabe plays Kanda Shun, a cool and mysterious genius, and Tsuna plays Igarashi Yu, a passionate man who dreams of becoming a singer. The first part, "True Beauty Before High School Debut Edition," will be released on March 20th, and the second part, "True Beauty After Proposal Edition," will be released on May 1st.
TGC has been held twice a year since 2005 with the concept of "bringing Japanese girl culture to the world," and this year marks the 40th event. Many popular models and actors, including Ayami Nakajo, Meru Nukumi Ikumi, and Elaiza Ikeda, walked the runway in trendy fashion. The MCs were the comedy duo EXIT and freelance announcer Reina Sumi.
