"Shinjuku Anime Song Scope" is a website where anime buyer Higuchi Sho from Tower Records Shinjuku, known for its extensive selection of anime songs, reports on best-selling anime songs and the voices of the sales floor. The number one song at the store from February 16th to 23rd was "KiLLKiSS," the second single by Ave Mujica, a band from the popular anime and game series "BanG Dream!". The single topped the charts for two consecutive weeks, and was the third time it had topped the charts, including the rankings from January 12th to 19th.

Ave Mujica is a band whose identity became a hot topic when it was revealed in the TV anime "BanG Dream! It's MyGO!!!!!," which aired from June to September 2023. The TV anime "BanG Dream! Ave Mujica" began airing in January of this year, and their second single, which included the opening theme "KiLLKiSS" and the ending theme "Georgette Me, Georgette You," won first place.
Coming in second place is Tsukino Mito's first mini album "310PHz" from the VTuber project "Nijisanji". Tsukino Mito herself was involved in selecting the creators and conceiving the songs, making it a self-produced album. Coming in third is "Stella", the ending theme for the TV anime "Ubel Blatt", sung by voice actress and singer Tachibana Hina.
Coming in at number 4 and 6 are CDs from the popular "Idolmaster" series' new smartphone app "Gakuen Idolmaster." The fifth CD in the series, "Season Solo Collection Vol.5 'Happy Mille-feuille,'" which debuted at number 5 last week, has risen to number 4, and in number 6 is Juou Seimina's first single, "Juou Seimina 1st Single 'Small Ambition,'" which debuted.
In fifth place is the 10th single "Suresure/Soredemo Bokura wa Uta koto wo Yameranai" by the band unit "Leo/need" from the popular smartphone game "Project SEKAI Colorful Stage! feat. Hatsune Miku (ProSeka)," which is also the subject of much discussion due to the release of its first animated film, "Project SEKAI: The Broken World and Miku Who Can't Sing." In eighth place is the full album "BLUE BACK," the first in about 12 years by popular creator Jin.

The seventh CD in the "MOVEMENT OF STARDOM ROAD" series from "THE IDOLM@STER Million Live!", a part of the popular "THE IDOLM@STER" series of games, "THE IDOLM@STER MILLION MOVEMENT OF STARDOM ROAD 07 All Alone," as well as the single "THE IDOLM@STER MILLION ARMOR ACE&BEYOND," also from "THE IDOLM@STER", and the single "THE IDOLM@STER MILLION THE@TER VARIETY 06," from the game "THE IDOLM@STER Million Live! Theater Days (Mirishita)," are expected to perform well at the start of the season.
We are also looking forward to the fifth single "AURORA FLOWER" by the virtual school idol group "Hasunozora Girls' Academy School Idol Club" from the popular anime series "Love Live! ", and "Song Collection from The Rose of Versailles," which includes insert songs from the animated film "The Rose of Versailles."

Higuchi Sho is a buyer in charge of anime at Tower Records Shinjuku store, 7th floor (Japanese music/sales promotion). He was transferred from the Machida store in 2014. He got into anime because of 1990s works such as "Neon Genesis Evangelion", "BLUE SEED", and "VS Knight Ramune & 40 Flame", and among anime songs, he loves character songs, especially songs related to idol anime. His favorite anthem is "Up! 10sion Pleeeeeeeeease!" from "The Idolmaster Million Live!". His favorite anime and games include "Pretty Rhythm", "The Idolmaster", "Photo Kano", and "Sakura Wars".
