It has been announced that Rio Nagashima will join the idol group Nogizaka46 as the fifth new member out of the 11 who passed the audition for the sixth generation of members.
The auditions for the 6th generation of "Nogizaka46" were held twice, in spring and summer of 2024, with a total of 11 people passing. The five members of the Spring Troupe who passed the spring audition have been introduced one by one every day since the 6th.
Nagashima is 17 years old and from Hokkaido. As the fifth member of the Spring Troupe, an introductory video was released on the group's official YouTube channel "Nogizaka Streaming" on February 10th. Filmed in Hokkaido, Nagashima is introduced against the backdrop of beautiful snowy scenery and the city of Sapporo.
The six members of the Summer Group who passed the summer auditions will be announced over the next few days on "Nogizaka Streaming."
