Information on toys and merchandise for the latest installment of the popular anime series "Gundam," "Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuX," has been announced. Among the most talked about items are the red Gundam Gunpla (plastic model kits) and figures that will be released by Bandai Spirits.
◇What is Red Gundam?
The Red Gundam is a mobile suit that suddenly appears in Side 6 in Universal Century 0085 and participates in clan battles. Its model number is "gMS-α". To go into detail would be a spoiler, so I won't go into it, but it has also been announced that the White Gundam, Zaku, and Char's Zaku will also appear.
It has been announced that it will be released in May as the Gunpla "HG 1/144 Red Gundam." It is a Gunpla from the "HG" series, and comes with two bits that can be attached to the aircraft with joint parts. It also comes with a wide variety of weapons. 2,750 yen.

The "METAL ROBOT Spirits" series figure "METAL ROBOT Spirits <SIDE MS> Red Gundam" will be released in June. It is about 15.5 cm tall and reproduces the shape of the machine. The wide range of motion allows for flexible posing. Die-cast is used for the hip joints and shoulders.
Weapons include a beam rifle, beam saber, Gundam shield, hammer, and bits. The bits are voluminous, measuring approximately 10cm in length, and two are included, which can be attached to the shoulders. It can also be displayed in the ejected state using the dedicated pedestal and auxiliary support.
The beam sabers are equipped on the backpack. The hammer chain is made of metal parts to give it a sense of weight. The shield can be held by gripping it, or it can be attached to the elbow or backpack. Price: 24,200 yen.
A Gunpla model of the main character's robot, GQuuuuuuX, has already been released, and it has been announced that GQuuuuuuX and the white Gundam will also be released in the "METAL ROBOT Spirits" series, but no other robots have been announced for sale.
