It has been announced that a stage greeting to commemorate the success of the theatrical advance version of the latest work in the popular anime series "Gundam", "Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuX -Beginning-", will be held at TOHO Cinemas Shinjuku (Shinjuku Ward, Tokyo) on February 2nd. Shimba Tsuchiya, who plays Shuuji Ito, Yui Ishikawa, who plays Nyaan, director Kazuya Tsurumaki, and series composition and scriptwriter Yoji Enokido will be on stage.
Tsuchiya, Director Tsurumaki, and Enokido will be on stage to greet the audience at the 10 a.m. screening, and Ishikawa, Tsuchiya, Director Tsurumaki, and Enokido will be on stage to greet the audience at the 4 p.m. screening.
Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX is also a hot topic as it is the first collaboration between Sunrise, which produced the Gundam series, and Khara, known for the Evangelion series. In the three days since its release on January 17, the film recorded a box office income of approximately 599 million yen. The film attracted approximately 352,500 moviegoers, making it the top movie attendance ranking for January 17-19 (according to Kogyo Tsushinsha), and getting off to a good start.
