TV Tokyo's popular information variety show "Appear! Ad Town Heaven" (Saturday 9pm). The November 23rd broadcast will feature Ikaho Onsen in Gunma Prefecture, where the autumn leaves are at their peak.
Ikaho Onsen is a famous hot spring in Joshu, where golden hot spring water gushes out, and is said to have been loved by people since the Sengoku period. It is easily accessible from central Tokyo, and the hot spring town with its nostalgic stone steps is also popular with the younger generation.
The show will feature local specialties such as a popular bar known as an oasis for "dinner refugees," belly button dumplings and kokeshi castella cakes eaten at a cafe, "Yunohana Manju" with a skin that recreates the golden hot spring water, Mizusawa udon, and Joshu wheat pork ginger pork.
In addition, it will introduce trends in hot spring towns, such as accommodation styles that allow you to camp at inns. It will also cover a ranch where you can enjoy horseback riding and sheepdog shows, and the "rotating" Six Jizo statues that are said to bring good luck.
The guests are Kawamura Emiko from the comedy duo "Tanpopo" and actor Otomo Karen.
