The final chapter of the TV anime "Golden Kamuy" will begin airing in January 2026

It has been announced that the final chapter of the TV anime "Golden Kamuy," based on Satoru Noda's manga, will begin airing in January 2026. Ahead of the broadcast, it has also been announced that the "Sapporo Beer Factory Arc," which constitutes the prologue to the final chapter, will be released in theaters in a two-part series. The first part will be released on October 10th, and the second part on October 31st.

The key visuals for the advance theatrical release, depicting Saichi Sugimoto, Asi(ri)pa, Lieutenant Tsurumi, Hijikata Toshizo, and Hyakunosuke Ogata, have been released. It was also announced that "ALI," a solo project by rapper Awich and singer-songwriter LEO, will be performing the theme song for the advance theatrical release, "Beyond Golden." A trailer featuring an instrumental version of the theme song has been released on YouTube.

Movie tickets using the original key visuals from the early cinema release will go on sale on July 18th. The first part of the movie ticket designs are of Sugimoto Saichi & Asi(ri)pa, and Ogata Hyakunosuke, in two varieties. The second part of the movie ticket designs are of Lieutenant Tsurumi and Hijikata Toshizo, in two varieties. A set ticket for both parts will also be sold, allowing you to watch both parts on one ticket.

To celebrate the early release of the movie in theaters, the official account for the TV anime "Golden Kamuy " (@kamuy_anime) will be running a campaign to give away tickets to a special stage greeting to 50 pairs (100 people) in a lottery. The deadline for applications is July 23rd. The stage greeting will be held in Tokyo on October 12th, and will feature Kobayashi Chikahiro, who plays Sugimoto Saichi, Shiraishi Haruka, who plays Asi(ri)pa, Ito Kentaro, who plays Shiraishi Yoshitake, Nakata Jouji, who plays Hijikata Toshizou, Yoshitsugu Matsuoka , who plays Private Hijikata Toshizo Usami, Takemoto Eiji, who plays Tsukishima Sergeant, Katsuyuki Konishi, who plays Koito Lieutenant, and Tomokazu Seki, who plays Kaizoku Boutaro.

"Golden Kamuy" is a manga that was serialized in "Weekly Young Jump" (Shueisha) from 2014 to 2022. It depicts the story of "Immortal Sugimoto", a former veteran of the Russo-Japanese War, who gets hold of clues to buried treasure hidden by a death row inmate in Hokkaido, and embarks on an adventure with some Ainu girls.

The first season of the TV anime aired from April to June 2018, the second from October to December of the same year, and the third from October to December 2020. The fourth season began airing in October 2022 and was on hiatus from November onwards, but resumed in April 2023 and aired until June of the same year. A movie starring Kento Yamazaki was released in 2024 and was a hit, grossing over 3 billion yen. A sequel drama version aired from October to December 2024.
