Actor Tao Tsuchiya attended the "Dotonbori Jinza New CM & Summer Vacation Children's 0 Yen Campaign Announcement" held in Tokyo on July 16th. She shared photos from her childhood and looked back on her memories from those times.
Tsuchiya posted two photos, explaining about the first one, "I'm playing the role of Kochou when I'm doing Japanese dance. My younger brother is sitting and I'm on the right, and I think we were around fifth and second graders." When the MC praised Tsuchiya for her posture, which didn't look like that of an elementary school student, she blushed and said, "I've been doing it since I was three, so my hips naturally got into position."
She said that all three siblings had studied Japanese dance, and imagined, "My older sister is actually the best at it. If the opportunity arises, I'd love to create a place for her to dance." She continued, "I'm glad I did it because I get to learn about Japanese culture, how to perform in front of people, and how to dress in kimono. It's a memorable photo."
He said the second photo was taken when he was in his final year of kindergarten and took part in a relay race at a sports day, explaining, "I think I was the anchor."
Ramen restaurant "Dotonbori Jinza" will air a new commercial "Delicious summer to your heart's content" featuring brand ambassador Tsuchiya from July 17th. To commemorate the 39th anniversary of its founding on July 19th, a special project "39th Anniversary Appreciation Return Summer Vacation 0 Yen Campaign" will be held at 42 stores (excluding food courts and some stores) in Osaka, Hyogo, Nara, Kyoto, and Wakayama from July 19th to August 31st. During the campaign period, for every noodle order made by an adult, a "Children's Ramen (half ramen)" for one child of elementary school age or younger will be provided free of charge.
