It has been announced that Tsukishiro Kanato, a former top star of the Takarazuka Revue's Tsuki-Gumi, will be the narrator for the WOWOW original program "Takarazuka Premiere," which will be broadcast on November 30th.
Tsukishiro joined the Takarazuka Revue as a member of the 95th class in 2009. He made his debut in the Cosmos Troupe's performance "Rain on the Roses/Amour That's...". He was then assigned to the Yuki Troupe. He charmed many fans as an elegant, orthodox male role, and made his first lead role in the newcomer performance in 2013's "Shall we Dance?". He has starred in newcomer performances three times. In 2017, he moved to the Moon Troupe, and played the lead role in Tojo in "THE LAST PARTY ~S. Fitzgerald's last day~" and "The Love of the Dal Lake", and became the top star of the Moon Troupe in August 2021.
After becoming the top, he appeared in major productions such as "Tonight at the Romance Theater" and "The Great Gatsby". She left the Takarazuka Revue in July this year with the final performance of the Tokyo performance of "Eternal Voice/Grande TAKARAZUKA 110!". She will be holding her first solo concert since leaving the company from November 21st.
This episode of "Takarazuka Premiere" will be broadcast on WOWOW Live from 4:30 pm on November 30th. The show will feature "Golden Liberty", the debut performance at the Grand Theater of Oozuki An, who succeeded Tsukishiro as the top star of the Tsukigumi.
Tsukishiro commented, "It's been a while, everyone. I'm Tsukishiro Kanato. I will be narrating WOWOW's Takarazuka Premiere. I really enjoyed communicating with the alumni on this program while I was with the troupe, so I'm very happy to have been given this opportunity. And above all, I'm full of joy to be in charge of the Tsukigumi episode! I'll do my best to convey as much of the appeal of the Tsukigumi performances as possible to everyone."
