The lineup for Kuroyanagi Tetsuko's long-running talk show "Tetsuko's Room" (TV Asahi, Monday to Friday 1pm), which will air from November 4th to 8th, has been announced. Appearing on the 4th will be geriatric psychiatrist Wada Hideki, on the 5th actor Nakano Taiga, on the 6th "Jewels! Masterpiece Selection", on the 7th talent Shimizu Michiko, and on the 8th singer Kamino Mika.
Wada, a graduate of the University of Tokyo's Faculty of Medicine, has been involved in geriatric medicine for over 30 years and has seen over 6,000 patients. He will share some tips on how to "retire without regrets."
Mr. Nakano, who will be making his first appearance, is the father of actor Hideo Nakano. Thirty years ago, his father, who was 29 years old at the time, appeared on the show, and there was a scene where Taiga was so surprised by a comment he made that he was speechless.
Mr. Shimizu, who brings laughter with his impersonations, says that he doesn't usually get much praise from the people he impersonates, but he reveals that he has received letters of appreciation from the people he impersonates, and that some of them even provide him with material.
41 years after his debut, Ms. Kamino suddenly announced her remarriage this spring. Surprisingly, she has become much closer to her ex-husband, lyricist Toyohisa Araki, who is 22 years older than her, since their remarriage, and they now often go out to eat together.
