In the 29th episode (aired May 7th) of the NHK Asadora drama series "Kaze,Kaoru " (NHK General, Monday-Saturday, 8:00 AM, etc.), Ai Mikami and Juri Kosaka , what scene captivated viewers the most? We examined the minute-by-minute changes in "attention level" (according to REVISIO, Kanto region, preliminary figures), which indicates the percentage of viewers glued to their screens, and found that the peak was 72.5% at 8:11 AM. This marks the fifth consecutive episode, since the 25th episode (aired May 1st), that the highest level of over 70% has been achieved.
" Kaze,Kaoru" is based on the story of two trained nurses, Chika Ozeki and Masa Suzuki, who graduated from the same nursing school. The drama depicts how these two women struggle with how to interact with patients and doctors, clash with each other, grow as individuals, and eventually become the "ultimate buddy duo." Mikami plays Rin Ichinose, and Uesaka plays Naomi Oya.
◇Erika Ikuta as "Tae" is troubled by the ongoing marriage proposal.
In episode 29, Rin (Mikami), who is looking for a souvenir for Tamaki (Ema), coincidentally meets Kenjiro Shimada, also known as "Shimaken" (Masaya Sano), and learns about his current job and dreams. Meanwhile, at Tae's (Erika Ikuta) family home, the marriage arrangements are progressing, and Tae continues to have troubled days. Then, one night, something unusual happens.
The "attention level," which indicates the percentage of viewers watching the screen intently, was somewhat low at the beginning, but remained around 70% for most of the program from the middle onward. It even reached the 70% level for a total of 5 minutes, once in the middle and once at the end.
The data used is REVISIO's proprietary "Attention Level" index (Kanto region, preliminary figures), which surveys program and commercial viewing habits in 2,000 households in the Kanto region and 600 households in the Kansai region. A dedicated device equipped with a human recognition sensor constantly measures whether people are looking at the television screen, and calculates the percentage of people in front of the television who were paying close attention to the program.
◇ "She did it again." The peak was Rin's slip of the tongue.
The peak viewership for the day was 72.5% at 8:11 AM. It continued to exceed 70% at 8:12 AM and 8:13 AM (both at 71.9%), maintaining viewer interest for three minutes.
At around 8:11 AM, Rin and Naomi (Uesaka), who are on cooking duty at the dormitory, are preparing everyone's meal. The two girls talk about Rin's mother, Mitsu (Mizuno Miki), and Rin grumbles, "My mother doesn't mean any harm, but she has a way of ordering people around," and "Also, she says whatever she thinks." Tae then arrives. Tae is disappointed that Kiyo (Kikuchi Akiko) isn't on duty, as she would have wanted her to teach her how to cook in preparation for her marriage, to which Rin can't help but interject, "You, Tae?" When Tae asks, "Is that wrong?", Rin replies, "It's not wrong, but I just don't think it's like you, Tae," and goes on to say, "Is it more like you to be a mistress who takes a husband rather than a bride?" which angers the troubled Tae.
"She did it again." As usual, Rin quickly realized her slip of the tongue, and Naomi casually chimed in, "Like mother, like daughter." This all happened at roughly the 11-minute mark.
At around 8:12 AM, there's a flashback scene of Tae returning to her room. Tae tells her father she wants to become a doctor, but he opposes it, saying that since the child she gives birth to will be the heir, raising her child should be the priority.
Around 8:13 a.m., after dinner, Rin asks all the students if they'd like to go out for a get-together the following Sunday, but Tae immediately replies, "I can't go." Rin persists, saying, "Even just for the morning," to which Tae confesses, "I'm quitting this training school." The shocked students begin asking various questions, when suddenly Tae collapses.
◇Naomi and Rin's "Sunday Scenery" also exceeded 70%.
Incidentally, the ratings also reached the 70% range at 8:06 AM (70.6%) and 8:07 AM (70.8%). At 8:06 AM, Naomi, having nowhere to go on a Sunday, goes to the row house where she used to live. She is welcomed by her landlady Toyo (Yoneko Matsukane) and landlady Kiku (Yuriko Hirooka), and it is a moment when Naomi can finally relax.
At around 8:07 AM, the scene shifts to Rin's Sunday. Rin hurries to the house where Shimada Kenjiro, or "Shimaken" as he's called (played by Sano Masaya), and Tamaki are waiting. The scene continues with Shimaken rambling on and on about how he came to visit Mitsu so often, and when they arrive in front of the house, Mitsu greets them. "Oh, Shimaken. And Rin too." Rin is slightly surprised by Mitsu's reaction, saying, "Rin too?" It was a scene that made me chuckle a little. (Text by Sasamoto Hiroki / MANTANWEB)
