The movie "PLANET OF THE SHARKS" (directed by Mark Atkins), set in a near future where ferocious sharks have replaced humanity as the rulers of Earth, will be broadcast on BS12 Twelvi from 6:10 PM on May 5th.
The story takes place in the near future. Due to global warming and the melting of glaciers, 98% of the Earth's surface is covered by ocean. A few survivors manage to survive on bases and ships built on the sea. Humanity is no longer the ruler of the Earth. Now, ferocious sharks stand at the top of the ecosystem. And with rising water temperatures causing a food shortage in the ocean, hungry sharks have begun to target humans.
Furthermore, the sharks begin to form schools and exhibit coordinated behavior. It seemed as though there must be a shark leading the large group...that's the story.
The show will feature Brandon Aure, Stephanie Bellan, and show hosts Lindsay Sullivan and Danielle Barnett.
BS12 is airing five shark movies daily until the 6th as part of its "Golden Shark Theater 2026" series.
