Actor Ryohei Suzuki appeared at the advance screening of the second episode of the TBS Sunday Theatre "Reboot" (Sunday 9pm) held in Tokyo on January 22nd. At the beginning of the event, Suzuki went over to the audience and showed his great hospitality by asking them directly, "What did you find interesting?"
Also appearing was Kitamura Yukiya, who plays Goroku, and scriptwriter Kuroiwa Tsutomu. When asked if he could reboot the drama with any of the cast or characters, Kitamura replied, "I'd like to be rebooted by Nagase Ren and have people screaming and shouting." He dreamed, "I'd like to walk around the Tokyo Dome and have people scream and shout. He might take me to a world I've never experienced before."
Upon hearing this, Suzuki said, "Then I'll be Fujisawa Suzuka (of Mrs. Green Apple). I'll go to the concert now," dreaming of standing on stage. When asked, "You can't play (an instrument), can you?", he replied, "You'd just have to pretend," but continued to imagine, "The other members would tell me you've grown a lot." Kuroiwa answered, "Takumi," the son of Hayase Riku, the owner of the main character's pastry shop.
The drama is an original work that popular screenwriter Kuroiwa spent three years planning. It is a suspense story about a kind-hearted pastry chef, Hayase Riku (Matsuyama Kenichi), who is framed for the murder of his wife, but abandons his beloved family and past to pose as corrupt Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department detective Gido Ayumu (Suzuki) in order to prove his innocence and find the real culprit. The drama also stars Toda Erika and Kuroki Meisa.
