The lineup for Tetsuko Kuroyanagi's long-running talk show "Tetsuko's Room" (TV Asahi, Monday to Friday, 1:00 PM), which will air from January 12th to 16th, has been announced. On the 12th, singer Kiyoshi Hikawa will be featured, on the 13th, "Star Singers Make Their First Appearance!", on the 14th, actor Ryotaro Sakaguchi, on the 15th, an emergency tribute to screenwriter Makiko Uchida, and on the 16th, actor Tomoko Ikuta.
Three years ago, Hikawa took a break from singing and rested for one year and eight months. During that time, he experienced living abroad and met many different people there, which led to him rediscovering the charm of singing and making him strongly desire to sing again.
"Star Singers Make Their First Appearance!" will showcase the fresh looks of popular star singers making their first appearance on the show. Appearing will be Tetsuya Takeda of Kaientai, known for "Ballad for Mother," Mie Nakao, Sachiko Kobayashi of "Omoide Sake," and Miyuki Kawanaka of "Futari Sake."
Sakaguchi is known as a "quirky actor" for his unique presence. He reportedly cried when he saw the musical "Cats" at the age of nine. He began dancing in junior high school and made his stage debut at the age of 17 in the role of "Sparrow." Kuroyanagi made a difficult request.
Uchidate, who passed away at the end of last year, appeared on the show seven times. Here's a look back at his true self in the video.
Ikuta made her film debut at the age of 16. Her father passed away in January last year, and she has only recently been able to talk about her feelings at the time. She said that her husband, former Japanese national soccer team player Masashi Nakayama, accompanied her father to the hospital, which was reassuring.
