On January 8th, idol group Nogizaka46 held their annual Coming of Age Ceremony at Nogi Shrine (Minato Ward, Tokyo), with newly-adulted 5th generation Mao Ioki Mao, Okuda Iroha, and Sugawara Kokone Atago, as well as 6th generation members Mitsuki Setoguchi Kokone and Setoguchi Mitsuki, showing off their formal attire.
The group has been holding its Coming of Age Ceremony at Nogi Shrine since 2013, and this year marks the 14th time. Vice-captain Sugawara expressed her aspirations for the new adults, saying, "I want to be strong enough that everyone can rely on me, regardless of whether I'm a senior or junior, and I want to strive to be 'beautiful' in every aspect of my daily life."
In response to the annual question, "If you were to name this generation as XX generation?", Okuda answered, "The Pakarapakara Generation." He said, "I named this generation with the hope that everything in 2026 will go well!"
