TV Tokyo's popular information variety show "Appear! Ad Street Heaven" (Saturday 9pm) will feature Kanegafuchi (Sumida Ward, Tokyo) on the August 23rd broadcast as the fourth installment of the Tobu Railway Line series.
The area around Tobu Railway's Kanegafuchi Station, sandwiched between the Sumida River and the Arakawa River, retains a nostalgic Showa-era downtown. The program introduces downtown gourmet, including a limited-time monjayaki restaurant in a traditional backstreet house, the town's local specialty, natural taiyaki, a sorbet chuhai from a bar that has been revived in a back alley, a delicious fish bar that also sells prepared dishes in front of the store, and a downtown Western restaurant that also serves wildly popular Chinese and Japanese cuisine.
In addition, the film also features a long-established manufacturer of the official softball ball, the "M Ball," a strong softball team, and a mysterious housing complex that resembles an "impregnable fortress" stretching for about 1.2 kilometers.
The guests are entertainers Ijuin Hikaru and Ichikawa Saya.
