Kise Koi new TV anime visual and PV released

The main visual and official PV for season 2 of the TV anime "Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru (Kisekoi)," based on the popular manga by Shinichi Fukuda serialized in "Young Gangan" (Square Enix), have been released. This will be the first new TV anime in about three years since season 1 aired from January to March 2022. The visual shows Kitagawa Marin and Gojo Niina facing each other, and the PV features the opening theme "Ao to Kirameki" by "Spira Spica" and the ending theme "Kawaii Kaiwai" by PiKi.

The cast for new characters was also announced, with Ayumu Murase as Himeno Amane and Komatsu Shohei as Kashiwagi Shiki. Murase commented, "I was very grateful to be asked to take on this role and read the original work, but it was so interesting! I was so engrossed that I read the whole thing in one go. I try to choose a dress code that suits the situation, with different general frameworks for each work, such as comedy, seriousness, and everyday life, and I felt that Amane's cosplay was similar to that way of thinking. Subaru's outfit, which changed me, is my favorite outfit and my battle uniform, and it's a special thing that makes me feel a little bitter. I look forward to seeing what kind of story will unfold as Amane meets Marin and Niina!"

Komatsu said, "He belongs to the so-called "young people," but he himself is on the lower side compared to his high-spirited classmates like Kitagawa. But he's competitive and can suddenly get excited, or he can be the leader of the "let's go to the after-party" atmosphere. He's completely natural, and yet has the ability to speak up...it's a position I'm somehow envious of. By the way, when I was a student, I was overwhelmingly on Gojo's side. I will play the role naturally, remembering the classmate who invited me to go bowling that time. I hope you will enjoy it."

"Kise Koi" began serialization in "Young Gangan" in 2018, and the final episode was published in the 7th issue of the magazine on March 21, bringing the curtain down on the approximately 7-year serialization. It is a romantic comedy depicting the love story between Gojo Niina, a high school boy training to become a head maker who makes faces for Hina dolls, and Kitagawa Marin, a gyaru cosplayer who loves anime and games. The comic has sold over 13 million copies in total.

Season 1 of the TV anime aired from January to March 2022. A live-action drama starring Riko Nagase and Kota Nomura was also broadcast from October to December 2024, which also attracted attention. Season 2 will be broadcast on TOKYO MX and other stations from July 5th.
