It has been announced that the TV anime " A Witch's Life in Mongol ", based on the manga by Tomato Soup, which was also chosen as the No. 1 female manga in " This Kono Manga ga Sugoi! 2023" (Takarajimasha), will be broadcast on TV Asahi in 2026. A super teaser visual by Science SARU, the production company for the anime, was also released. It depicts twinkling stars spreading out over the vast land of Mongolia.
A panel event for " A Witch's Life in Mongol" will be held on July 5th at the TV Asahi booth at the anime event "Anime Expo 2025" to be held in Los Angeles. Science SARU producer Go Inagaki and TV Asahi producer Kazuki Endo will appear.
The story is set in 13th century Mongolia and is currently being serialized on Akita Shoten's manga site "Souffle". The story is about a former slave girl, Sitara (Fatima), who was captured by the Mongol Empire, who meets Dregene, the sixth wife of the Mongolian emperor, who also has complicated feelings towards the Mongol Empire, and uses her wisdom to shake up the empire. The anime will be produced by Science SARU, known for "Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken!", "The Heike Story", and "Dandadan".
